AMAZING! Denver Zoo Lights - 2007

Here in Denver we don’t let a little cold weather keep us away from the Zoo. Instead, they have a special treat for visitors: over 38 acres of lights and animated animal sculptures. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen.

The wonderful background music, Sleigh Ride, was produced by Ryan Thomas and Celebration Studios (c) 2007. (Licensed to NK5 for use in this video only.)

Sit back and relax as you enjoy all the incredible animated animal sculptures that swing through trees, jump across lawns, hide in bushes and appear in places where they are least expected.

This video was the first one I made with my new toy - the Sony DCR-SR42. It’s one of the new HDD cameras that are finally affordable.

I was amazed at how well the colors of the Zoo lights appeared in the video, especially considering it was extremely dark that night. Even with the tight zoom, the image stabilizer worked excellent. I highly recommend this camera.

I ended up purchasing it from Wolf camera. Best Buy had it on sale that weekend, but I would rather have a money scratch my eyes out while getting an acid enema than shop at Best Buy. It turns out Wolf will price match brick-and-mortar stores, just as long as it’s advertised and they have more than one in stock. Best Buy had several - thank you Worst Buy!

Wolf also sold me on their extended warranty & replacement plan. I don’t normally purchase those for electronics I’m likely to replace in the next year, as it’s just not worth the money. There’s usually some BS fine print having to do something with prorating or deductible. Not at Wolf. Their extended warranty & replacement plan is not prorated and has no deductible. They only require you to bring them some recognizable piece of the camera to the store, and you will get a replacement in case of damage or destruction.

Considering I use the camera for the business, Wolf’s extended warranty & replacement plan was worth every penny.
